About / history /
The history of our firm dates back to 31 March 1980, when Patrick J Mullins founded Patrick J Mullins Solicitor and Notary Public. Patrick J Mullins' sons Patrick Jnr and John Mullins were admitted as solicitors by the Queensland Supreme Court on 20 July 1981. On 1 January 1982 the firm became Patrick J Mullins & Mullins with offices located at 243 Edward Street.
Over the years the firm's growth has been steady, with increases in staff and clients as well as the moving of office locations to cater for growth - 217 George Street (two levels) and then 200 Mary Street from 1 January 1982.
In 1985 the firm was renamed Mullins & Mullins. In May 1998 the firm moved to Central Plaza One in Queen Street. In May 2003 the firm was rebranded Mullins Lawyers. The name change was significant as it recognised that the firm was no longer a two partner family firm but a thriving commercial law firm with a strong partnership and staff across two levels of the Riverside Centre.
On 1 December 2008 the firm relocated to Riverside Centre on Eagle Street, where it also occupies two floors. A commitment to strong client relationships and great service has seen Mullins Lawyers emerge as a leading commercial law firm in Queensland.
