Caroline

Caroline Bosak, Receptionist

I have been working on the Mullins front line since 2005 and can't believe how quickly the years have passed!  I am lucky to spend each day in a great reception area that is still as modern and fresh as when we moved in nearly six years ago.  I still haven't tired of the fantastic view of the Brisbane River and beyond.

While it's not without its challenges, every day is unpredictable - you never know what you're going to get and that's what keeps it interesting.  One of the benefits of having worked here for so long, is the rapport I now have with long term clients and the friendships I have built with my colleagues which I know will last a lifetime.

Mullins promotes a balance between work and play and has a great sense of fun, encouraging the staff to try something new and different on a regular basis, from out of the box ideas like fencing or trapeze, to tried and true favourites like wine and cheese tastings or our chocolate appreciation night.  There is definitely something for everyone!

David Callaghan, Associate

I am an Associate in the Business Services Practice Group and started working at Mullins Lawyers in 2011.

There are two primary things that have stood out to me during my time here. Firstly, the firm and its people act with the utmost of integrity in everything they do. Secondly, Mullins Lawyers is a firm that doesn't just talk about work/life balance but genuinely practices it. These two things, and the culture it creates, are vitally important to my career growth and future here at Mullins.

This culture is firm-wide and extends to the Partners, professional staff, support staff and management team, making it an enjoyable place to work. We work extremely hard for our clients in meeting their objectives and tight deadlines and this is made easier when the firm, as a whole, work together.

I have also enjoyed the responsibility given to me at the early stage of my career to have direct client access and manage interesting and complicated transactions with the confidence of knowing there are experienced partners to provide the right guidance along the way.

    Kate Doyle, Legal Assistant

I started at Mullins in 2007 as an office junior.  After a couple of years of gaining knowledge and acquiring skills Mullins gave me the opportunity to progress to the role of a legal assistant.  I have now been working in the Banking & Finance/Commercial Litigation group for five years.

Working in two completely different areas of law can be challenging at times but the support from others in the group is always available.

At Mullins our prime focus is our clients, but happily the importance of good staff relationships is front of mind for the partners. The partners at Mullins appreciate the hard work we do and the regular staff social events show that. They are a great way to catch up with fellow employees and are lots of fun!

Shelly Rees, Legal Assistant

I joined the firm in 2007 as a legal assistant to two solicitors in the property team.  Shortly after this time a position became available supporting the planning and environment partner, Anthony O'Dwyer. For the past seven years I have thoroughly enjoying working with Anthony and the property team.

I have recently decided to embark on a new role as legal assistant to John Mullins.  I am looking forward to progressing my skills further under this new title.

Working at Mullins certainly has its advantages.  The firm supports personal development, our social functions never fail to deliver and we have great incentives to keep fit.  I have a happy work/life balance at Mullins and have made lots of friends along the way.
